The location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to Calais centre, retail parks for your shopping and the car tunnel if you make the channel crossing. The room is comfortable, clean and spacious and the tea/coffee making facilities are always useful to have. The hotel staff is polite, courteous and has attended very well to our queries and needs. We stayed two nights as we wanted to explore the Cote d'Opale before we make the crossing back to the UK. The area is definitely worth the visit with its lovely villages, rugged and windy coastline, walking and cycling trails (which are well signposted), breath taking views and the possibility to see Dover's white cliffs (just opposite 40km away). The history of the place is very connected to the second world war with litters of bunkers, batteries and other fortifications the Nazis built in to defend against allies assaults but also to batter the UK with artillery guns. Don't miss the opportunity to try the local restaurants. Seafood is excellent (the area is famed for its lobsters and crabs), prices are reasonable and the service is attentive and efficient.

The previous night we had stayed in a former Campanile, now branded as Kyriad, in Soisson, which was a bad experience, so our expectations were low - so what a pleasant surprise this Campanile turned out to be! The external appearance and condition of the buildings could do with a refresh but internally our room and public areas were really well presented, linen and towels were clean and fresh, the kettle and associated teas & coffees were present, the missing hairdryer was immediately replaced once its absence was highlighted, a large secure car park for our motorcycle was welcome, the staff without exception were courteous and friendly, the location is perfect for accessing the ferry port and in a relatively quiet part of town standing alone adjacent to a residential area so noise during the night was minimal. There is little in the way of options in the immediate area for eating but that is not a problem as the food served up by this Campanile restaurant proved to be exceptional! Can't comment on the breakfast as we left early and chose to eat on the ferry instead.

We spent only one night but I would consider spending my full holidays there. Receptionist was extremely helpful and kind. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but we were traveling with 2 dogs (5€ per night per dog btw) and everything was accomodating. It is always difficult to travel with your pets, 2/who are a part of your family and not all accommodations respect that. Campanile has enclosed garden if you want to let your pet roam around which is very helpful. Accommodation was very close to Calais fort. Parking can be overcrowded but there os an option of parking outside in front of the property with CCTV operating. Overall i feel this is a great option for someone who is travelling on budget and long distances with pets. I'm extremely grateful to Campanile as all other places charged at least 10€ per night for a dog. Dogs are a part of our family and should not be drastically charged and punished for being brought along. Thanks very much and hopefully see you again.

The room is very basic and does need a fresh lick of paint, however, the place feels well looked after by the management. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. The bed linen and towels were white and spotless. The kettle looked new and there was coffee and a variety of tea. The water pressure in the shower was also very strong and there was a bath (always a bonus:) We didn't have breakfast but the reception area looked good. The perfect stopover if you need a good rest.

Clean and good value. At this price range you don't expect top facilities but this was a clean, comfortable overnight stay. The aircon in the room worked well and cooled the room down when it was a bit too warm on arrival. The shutters meant I could make the room really dark which helps me sleep. Kettle and drinks in the room and breakfast was really good for the price with lots of choice. A grassy footpath directly across the road to quickly walk the dog was a welcome bonus.
